tales of the long distance .....

yeah what do I call it exactly!!?!?!?!?! Relationship? Friendship? Ugh.

So, this week we're both busy. I'm busy, he's busy, working early, then working late at night, because of job interviews. I'm kinda hoping he doesn't get a job so he can come visit, he doesn't seem very pleased about what's on offer, however is thrilled he's getting interviews. He's hoping to come over here for at least a week....

Anyway. This week we're busy, and then he's gone to Spain for 2 weeks. So I mentioned that we won't speak except by email for almost 3 weeks and got told "god that's ages!" Yep. Ages. Sigh.

Worked at the SPCA yesterday, we seized animals.....90 rats, 3 rabbits....me soooooooooo tired,,,,,

Anyway, still finding this hard. The little insecurity bug keeps periodically biting me when I don't get answers as quickly as I'd like, which is freaking ridiculous, and generally stupid.

Add all this to work, where I'm considering pulling out someone else's hair because I don't have enough to lose, and there you have where I am this week!

Yep I can see it now.

"Mom, dad, brother, sister in law, this is Myself. We met 15 years ago in Germany and now is the first time I've seen her since, so I figured I'd take her along on our family vacations!"

Yeah. Splendid!

Yeah, I've done a weird family vacation before with someone I didn't know well. It was AWFUL! You will just have to go back to Spain just the two of you later. :)

What do you do with the rats? Are they adopted out?

Yes the rats get adopted out, there's a "underground railroad" of sorts of rat lovers and they arrange transports to adoptive homes. They really were for the most part lovely things....I know they're rats, but they're funny, I quite love them and if my dogs weren't in danger of killing them I'd foster a couple. The SPCA in the US is coming to get a few also...

As for Spain, the Brit says that it's not all that, it's wall to wall other Brits...sort of like Florida for us Quebecers (or Cuba...)

that sucks you have to wait. Hopefully it will be the best, ahem, "reunion" you could imagine. :)
